If you haven’t heard already, Bishop Doug Miles of Koinonia Baptist Church in East Baltimore gave President Sheila Dixon a mouthful a few days ago at a City Hall hearing about a proposal to build a 305 million dollar hotel downtown across from Camden Yards. The Bishop’s major gripe was that it seems that our elected officials do more to pour money into the Inner Harbor than into our blighted communities. Representing the faith-based advocacy group BUILD (Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development), Bishop Miles exhibited the passion that Jesus displayed when running the money changers out of the temple.
