In his opinion, Hip Hop is a tool of the devil to destroy this generation. On his website, he makes a list of artists who he feels are tools of the enemy to deceive the church and destroy this generation. Visitors won’t be surprised to see artist like 50 cent, Ghostface Killah and others listed, but visitors may be surprised to see artists like Tonex, Kierra Sheard, India Arie, Jill Scott, and Hezekiah Walker on the list too! By the end of his workshops, young (and not so young) people are so convicted by his message that they give him their “worldly” CD’s and he destroys them. As you’ll see on the website the ministry boasts 500,000 CD’s destroyed.

I thought the church should be dealing with the issue of sin after all that is why Jesus hung on the cross.That is what Pastor Craig seems to be dealing with, weather its dealing with sin in music,sin in homosexuality,sin in the church,so many people even so called Christians don’t want to deal with the real issue!!!!

I have neither seen a testimony or a mission statement for this mans church. I went to his site and there was no mention of Jesus. Only something about “The Mother of Gods”, and shrieking about the anti-Christ. For the sake of Jesus Christ I will say what he has never said. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus, all that he is saying is null and void. Gods word is true…this is what the scripture says, Keep the faith Lovely Ones!

Craig Lewis is an extremist, and he judges people – which is anti christian. I think as a person who has a relationship with god, we know what is of him and not of him. Also, why is music scrutinized so much??? Why not criticize other industries like how the health care industry is killing people by lack of care, or pharmaceutical companies giving people diseases from long term drug use, I mean its music!!! We already know what is good for us and not, and it is not our job to judge these musicians, its Gods. As a Christian, you simply need to test Craige against the Word of God. I think he is right on point and his ministry is a blessing. God has given him a tremndous calling and he is fulfilling it by leading the yound and old people to Christ.

I cannot believe that folks are still commenting on this thread after all this time. Heber, do you remember when I was one of the ones that kept this discussion going? Boy, oh how I’ve moved on. **smile** But I guess Craige is still the topic of some folks conversation. And I would suppose that his subject matter will always be a hot button issue for someone. Oh well…
I’ve watched some of Lewis’ sermons on the subject and I must admit that he is pretty accurate on some of things he mentions. I agree with him that any time the devil wants to push an agenda or an ideology he usually does so through music. And one the first places in a ministry that the devil attacks is the music department (and I know that’s the truth). That’s because Lucifer’s specialty is music. Even though he was kicked out of Heaven he never forgot his skill, and he deeply understands the power of music. But accuracy does not justify being judgmental. His sermons carry with them a VERY judgmental overtone. Not only is he criticizing every mainstream gospel artist out there, but he is also criticizing every mega-church pastor that exists; T.D. Jakes, Eddie Long, Creflo Dollar, etc. At one point he was actually joking Eddie Long in the middle of his sermon. Lewis was supposed to be enlightening the people of God, and instead he’s joking on how Bishop Long seems to be flexing his muscles every time he gets to the high point of his sermons. And Lewis was actually mocking how Bishop Long preaches. Is that of God? According to Lewis we’re not suppose to be listening to ANYTHING except maybe “The Old-Rugged Cross” all day long. But I’m sure he would find fault somewhere with that song also since the song writer was actually human, and ALL humans fall short of God’s standard at times.
After watching his tapes it really seemed to me that he had an underlying agenda. Why would you try to defraud and deface EVERY successful leader in the Kingdom of God expect if you were trying to elevate yourself. I understand that there are many so-called leaders out there that have a self-serving, self-elevating agenda, and I believe that God will deal and is dealing with those people that are trying to exploit the people of God. We do not have the authority to judge them, but we do have the CHOICE not to support to them. But is EVERY pastor, preacher, and church leader out of the will of God except for Lewis? At certain points of his sermon he actually sounded like skepitical unbeliever. Yes his facts are right about certain things, but where is the love? Is he teaching that? Where is the compassion? Is he teaching that? Where is the acceptance? Is ALL music of the devil? Well if I were not strong in the faith I would believe so after listening to his message. After listening to his message the only person I would listen to is him, because everyone else is being used by the enemy. And that to me sounds like an underlying agenda.
The bible says gain is not godliness. Jus cuz creflo n the rest are sucessful doesnt mean God is in it. The bible says the church is to judge the church & God will judge the world. Paul called peter out in person in front of those others he was changing around.

Anything that is pure is not so easy to be swallowed , the world generally prefers diluted truths , lies and innuendos . I heard the message of Minister Lewis way over on the island of Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies and I must say that it made me sit up and take notice . I didn't have an issue receiving the message, because I believe God will seperate HIS people from the World. I have stopped listening to Rap music a total of 4 years before receiving this message from Mr. Lewis. I didnt really understand the desire I had to let it go, seeing is to how all of my friends were still listening to it. I went to one of Craige Lewis’s speaking engagement in Arlington, Texas, and being one that really loves God and really does thirst for the very heart of God. I do a lot of studying, and research when it comes to the very Word of God. I found what Mr. Lewis was saying to be very true about demons and devils and some other things, and there were other things he exagerrates, and people that still have not matured from the dramatic stage in their walk with Christ, he will appeal to you, you will seek to follow him. Yes God does tell us about demonic forces, and it is a spiritual battle, a battle that has been won on that hill when Christ died and rose again. So why do we have to worry what a certain rapper is doing, because in the end he has to bowdown. A Christian isn’t over critical of people, and then to profit from your being so critical of people. I do remember Jesus saying love your enemy and d good to those that hate you, in no way am I saying turn away from wrong, but your first thing as a TRUE CHRISTIAN is to pray that Jesus changes that individual, not exploit their wrongdoings for profitable gain. Go to that person and tell them of their wrong, but remember the log in the eye rule, cause last time I heard we all have sinned and fell short. I can go on for days, and days about fault but I just hope and pray that this brother adheres to the whole Bible and not just pick and choose spots because he knows that people gravitate to drama..
dont worry about pastor lewis being overly critical. and dont worry about what money he makes. if he is speaking THE TRUTH and exposing FAKE PASTORS, (one who just recently put out MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in cash to settle the drama created by his homosexual lust for boys) then there is nothing wrong with that. the prolblem with christians is that even when we speak the truth, somebody always crying that we are being judgemental, becuase they dont like the way we say things. I go to ex ministries quite often. I do not think he goes too far when it comes to exposing artists. I think the truth should be exposed by someone who has discernment. He says he is doing this to expose things in love. I like what he is doing, but sometimes I question is motive. Is he really doing this in love or is he trying to point out people’s faults? There are some people that he talks about that I believe really have the anointing on their lives. I think he should keep doing what he does. I think he should just be careful who he talks about. The Bible says “Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm.”

G Craige is on point and many people need to take notes and notice people I know dont feel we should speak againt homosexuality,we should not judge,the gays have taken over I’m tired of seeing them hugged up kissing in front of my grandchildren,who asking questions,they march by hundreds of thousands for marriage and rights yet christians sit by as nothing is happening,marriage was made for man and woman by God.Man has tendacy to idolize people and are easily influenced,our young people are being decieved and Im glad a preacher like Pastor Craige arent cowarding down to society and speaking from the word of God and doesnt care if he’s popular by saying the truth preach on preacher the truth will set many free in Jesus name.
The bible says to study to show yourselves approved unto God and many people dont do that. Take the time to research information to see if its true. G Craig is pretty on point with his research. There is a difference between judging those that are in the world and telling the truth to those that are suppose to be saved. When people have perfected sin, they hate to hear the truth and thats why they are so defensive.Pray and ask God to remove the blinders off your eyes, our children are dying and everything that comes out of our mouth, we have to take an account for.And that includes repeating the demonic words from some artists that was mentioned. Its not edifying our Lord and Savior.

Craig says may be too strong for the human kind but the truth is such that it is brutal to the one who does not want to accept it but a humbling experience to the ones who accept it,the truth about hip hop may be brutal but the facts speak out,we should not digress from the issue by claiming that Elder Craig is playing the judge,i think what he points out is pretty obvious in our”popular culture”, was he supposed to pint out this vices without giving examples,and whether or he is being judgemental is all up to him and God.

People neef to know not to follow those that honor him only in lipservice, jakes, bynum, dollar, long, hinn, duplantis, white, and so many more. If im about to walk off the cliff please tell me. Everything in the pulpit is not anointed of God 2 preach. The word tells us that people have heaped up teachers for themselves cuz of their itching ears! Also if the are people n the music industry secular or gospel and they are hakf steppin the truth n wirship false gods or another jesus, i want 2 know so that i dont get caught up. God will judge the world and the church can judge the church.
Gain is not godliness according 2 the bible contentment is godliness. Hard 2 believe when so many tv preachets are only talkin about sowin a seed n dont be broke etc. not saying dont better urself, we should, but a rolls, a lear jet, a 10million mansion, gold toilets etc does not mean these people in the gisoel industry are godly. $money is their god!

I don’t think they go to far. I just think that whatever Ex Ministries puts out, some people will agree with it all the way (like I do)and then there are some who will take some of what he says with a grain of salt. However, for a person to really appreciate what he says, they would have to do other studying as well (and maybe praying too) People can’t just get mad at the man of God for telling the truth and exposing the demonic agenda in the world and in the church. Yes there are good people out there in the church (and maybe in the world too.) And they need to know what’s behind “the mask” of entertainment and the pulpit.
I have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that Craig Lewis is a man of God and all this wonderful work he is doing for the Lord has been approved by Jesus Christ the most high. All his rewards are waiting for him in heaven for all the souls he is reaching for the kingdom of God.
I don’t think ex ministries is going too far, he is doing the right thing by exposing these rappers and hiphop singers who are destroying our young children’s souls. These young children are being exposed to this kind of things everyday and it’s eating up their minds (every young girls wants to look like Beyonce) I don’t want my daughter to become this way..I learned so much from his DVD’s (the truth behind hiphop)that i even threw away cd’s and all baby phat bags and clothes i used to wear. Now i am very careful on things that i wear and cds that i buy even gospel ones. Now that i am raising a daughter and it is imperative that we teach our children about everything: the circular songs, the clothes that they wear, the cd that they listen to..This is no joke!!!!
It is time to stand up with the man of God who is teaching us the truth that we can go around the world preach the gospel as Jesus tells us in the book of Matthew. We need to support Ex ministries us christians by telling the unbelievers that there will be one day that the Lord will return and if you don’t accept Him as your personal savior you are going straight to Hell…Believe me HEll is real the book of revelation talks about it..Craig Lewis keep doing the work of God and you will be rewarding in heaven only the Lord will be able to repay you for all this wonderful work that you are doing on this earth…God bless!

I’ve read some interesting information on his site as well as some confusing information and some inflammatory comments by the people who comment on the site. I think as with anything else we hear or read we should consult the scripture. And we should also continue to pray that our brother does what God has called him to do in the way that God has called him to do it. And I agree with the prayer for revelation to all those seeking it, AMEN.
I am very thankful for ministers like G Creg Lewis. He is exposing and teaching people to be careful of their involvement with the world. I mean we live in the world but we should not take part in it. Many believers from other countries do not have a problem about listenning secular songs. Ministers do not even bother to teach about it. Becouse first when people come to know Christ as Lord and Savior they are thought from scriptures it is wrong to listen and other songs that does not glorify God. Here in America Christianity many Christians listen secular songs. We have to be careful even those songs we call christian songs. Just becouse they use some biblical words does not mean its fine to listen. We have to be very careful and discern.
Also, we have to be very very careful ministers. Remember the devil will use anyone to desive us. One time the devil used Apostle Peter to stop Jesus from daying on the cross. Prior to that we see Peter being used by God, to tell Jesus is the Son of God! So, what makes us think our current Mega church leaders will not be used by Satan.
