I’m a guy, but supposedly there’s this man shortage for Black women in America. This shortage has some women settling for any man, and has other women determined to wait for Mr. Right. Kim Brooks, author of He’s Fine, but is He Saved?, deals with this issue in a fun way in her new novel.

The only people who are not called to be married are eunics! What??? I may not be one of those folks who gets married…does that make me a eunic? Singleness can be a calling all unto itself.

I will get the book because I believe that this is a great topic and needs to be something single women consider.

I do like the rest of what she said…but the eunic comment does not seem to be well-founded.

well, she obviously is young (I think she said she was in her mid 20′s) so she hasn’t experienced what some older single people have.

I would imagine that if she’s single into her middle years that her thinking and/or theology would change.

But I was blown by her comments about being a virgin. Not to pry or anything, but based on her comments, I’m not sure if she is. She may have never had INTERCOURSE, but from the interview I got the feeling that she’s not completely inexperienced.

I agree. The book sounds interesting and I pray for the young sistahs success…with the book and with the man.
