One Response to On this Columbus Day…

Man are you crazy with all the sales I caught yesterday don’t you dare say anything bad about Columbus. BTW I was watching the movie Godfather II in the American Movie Channel and I channeled surfed to a commercial announing the great bebefits in store for me on Coluumbus day. I felt like I was thrown from my horse as I was heading down the road when suddenly I heard a still small voice say “Columbus was an Italian…Columbus was an Italian.” Here is my revelation from that epiphany Columbus was the original Godfather. He swindled the King and Queen of Spain, who had recently gotten their land back from 700 years of Moorish rule, out of money and three cruise ships. He landed in a place that was occupied and declared it to be his. He just plain old made them an offer they could not refuse (death was probably the alternative). America has always had a facination and love for villians.

The Omec imagery on this cover is fantastic. I prefer the broad nose of Africa. Some have recently argued that the Olmec were of Indigenous to the region. That is cool because, Lucy is in Addis Ababa. Every body visits there cousins at sometime. So they came before the Olmecs too.

    LOL

PS here are a couple of my favorite to check out

Stolen Legacy – by George G. M. James

The African Origin of Civilization: Myth or Reality – by Cheikh Anta Diop
