I knew this day would come…the day when those in my immediate circle of family and friends would stumble upon my blog and find out what I really think about world issues, religion, politics, and anything else going on in the world or my life. When I first started this blog (about 85 posts ago) I wanted to remain anonymous thereby freeing me to say what I wanted with no filters. I figured that if people found out that it was me writing this thing that there would be some major disruptions in my life. However, when family and friends found the blog and started reading it pretty regularly I changed my mind on the whole anonymity thing. Who cares!? This blog tells readers in many ways where I stand on things – not particularly that it’s the right way to stand, but it is where I choose to stand. Others may feel differently, but that’s what makes the blog special. It becomes a place where people can engage each other on issues, events, people, etc. Those close to me will tell you that that’s what I crave…a place to dialogue – to be real honest and open without the fear of experiencing dire consequences for your perspective.
So to my Momma, my other family members, my seminary brothers (Vernon, Martin, and Sam), my brothers and sisters in ministry at our church, to our other church members, to my “disciples” of YCSC (I’m kidding), to fellow bloggers like Serena, Myisha, and Tonya, to my best international friend from Argentina, to my friends up at EBC in Lancaster, PA, and even to Melvin who thinks that I don’t talk about the Bible enough…I say:
THANKS FOR READING MY BLOG! Keep reading, start (or keep) posting and if you start a blog please let a brotha know about it.

Keep up the good work, you keep us on our toes watching and waiting to see what you have to say next. You make Jeremiah Wright proud! PA Brotha
Thanks for your words everyone…especially you, Ric. I learned a long time ago that if two people are friends only until they disagree then they were never friends in the first place. I pray that this dialogue can continue for a long time. I LOVE the discussion – the engaging of critical issues – the sharing of my personal stories, fears, high moments, etc.
As long as ya’ll keep coming, I’ll keep blogging…and in fact, when you don’t come anymore…I’ll still blog..lol
P.S. – If you get opportunity, you tell Dr. Wright that his impact on my ministry has been phenomenal and is clearly evident.
Peace
Yeah, I’m still here. And I still don’t think you stand on the Bible as you should if you name the name of Christ.
