I left the Homegoing Celebration for one pastor this past weekend and get news today of the death of, Dr. Weptanomah Carter, wife of Dr. Harold Carter, pastor of New Shiloh Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland.
Though I did not know, Mrs. Carter, I am still saddened by the news. Of course, my prayers are with the family and particularly Dr. Harold Carter, Sr. who lost his brother, Dr. Nathan Carter (Morgan State University Choir Director) almost 2 years ago and now has lost his wife.
A Memorial Service will be held for Mrs. Carter on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 6pm and the Homegoing Celebration will be Thursday 12 Noon at New Shiloh Baptist Church in Baltimore (2100 N. Monroe Street)
