Interview with a Baltimore Community Activist

February 9, 2006
By

On Wednesday, February 9, 2006 I was blessed to finally meet Sis. Shirell Tyner in person. Sis. Shirell is the founder/CEO of Caring through the Spiritual Eye Ministries, a nonprofit organization that provides safe shelter through a transitional home and Christian-based recovery program for homeless, recently released, or recovering women.

During our interview, Sis. Shirell gives her personal testimony and tells how Caring through the Spiritual Eye was born. She also provides a biting critique of the church and the lack of interest in reaching out to people who are down and out that some churches display.

I as well as my guys were looking through the nice procedures located on your web page and immediately got an awful feeling I had not expressed respect to you for them. All of the women came consequently thrilled to read through all of them and now have clearly been taking advantage of these things. I appreciate you for being considerably thoughtful and also for considering some essential information millions of individuals are really desirous to understand about. Our honest regret for not expressing gratitude to sooner.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and appearance. I must say you have done a superb job with this. Additionally, the blog loads super fast for me on Safari. Exceptional Blog!
