Dr. Marvin McMickleOn Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 6pm, I will interview Dr. Marvin McMickle on my Faith In Action online radio show.  Dr. McMickle is pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio.  As one who believes that the pastor should be intricately involved in the fabric of the surrounding community; Dr. McMickle has served as the president of both his local branch of the NAACP and the Urban League in Cleveland.  He also has served as president of the Shaker Heights Board of Education.  He is the author of nine books and dozens of articles that have appeared in professional journals and magazines.

One of his latest books is Where Have All The Prophets Gone? Reclaiming Prophetic Preaching in America.  This book explores the topic of prophetic preaching in this country and identifies specific factors that have contributed to the message of Biblical justice being muted in America’s churches.

We’ll discuss this book with him and hear his insight related to how he hopes this book will impact America’s churches – which will be of particular interest given the upcoming presidential election.

We invite you to tune into Faith In Action Radio on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 6pm for this live discussion!  Callers are welcomed.  If you have a question that you would like posed to Dr. McMickle feel free to post it as a comment to this article.

I want to thank everyone who listened to my first "official" Faith In Action online radio show. It was really exciting being back in the saddle again.

For those who missed it live; you can click the link above and hear the archived show. ( You can download the show and/or subscribe for your mp3 player too)

I'm still tweaking the technology that goes with it; so please be patient with me.

I'm also trying to locate the best day/time where people will be able to listen live and call in if they desire. If you have any suggestions as to when the regular day/time should be let me know. I really want the show to be accessible to as many as possible and interactive to the max.

    Thanks again!
