Well I hope everybody is happy!! O'Malley said he doesn't support equal rights, getting money for our underfunded schools, the fight against leaded water in schools, the fight against illegal arrests and the fight fo deregulation of electricity!

But I have to say that I agree with O'Malley on some issues. I don't believe that Jill Carter should be Mayor. I think that she should have his job!!!!!

Bro Heber

After this election is over, I will be holding a meeting for True Freedom and Economic Empowerment. We need to have some victories and don't mean to sound harsh though too many get there hopes up about elections. I was crushed last election cycle when a Candidate I supported did not win. I wasn't even running, but I was sad for about one week. We need to have REAL Leaders that have real daily Victories. I achieve daily victories and am a daily WINNER and FIGHTER!!! Would like to speak seriously with Bro/Min Heber Brown and all other Progressive Believers, that is Believers in the REAL Word!

Bro/sis Common Sense, It seems that Dr. Powers has dissapeared this election year. Maybe he is conseling some folk. Well I guess everyone of us needs to lay back and regroup sometimes. Well I think he could lend his public support to a candidate or the other. This is why we need to have more Cash Flow so that we can finance our own radio programs and internet radio.

One Mayoral Candidate told me that they do well. Well they are not doing that well is what I say. If you are black and talking about WEALTH and have not consulted me then you are NOT about REAL BLACK WEALTH but just getting by. We need REAL Black Leaders that are Totally about the Maximum Empowerment of Black people. I guess we all have our Economic Interest. I guess being an elected official is greater than building an institution or owning property. One elected official and some old lazy NEGRO on the radio even suggested that someone needed "The Vote" to keep property and land. As if votin will disallow the IRS, Banks or Redlining from occuring. Well maybe partially though if a Negro Politicians do not understand BLACK BUSINESS, RACISM, HISTORY then they are USELESS. Yes, Jill Carter does understand this more than others, at least Progessive Black Business.

If you don't want O'Malley Rule to continue in Baltimore, there is only one answer: Vote for Mayor Jill P. Carter , Tuesday, September 11.

O'Malley Rule:
illegal arrests, high crime, murder, poverty, drop outs, set outs, left outs,

One way out! Jill Carter for mayor!

I love Jill Carter. If I could will her victory I would. She is what Baltimore needs. She is a strong, strong sister. I went out to visit her on the corner recently where she has taken her campaign to camp out on some of the city's worst corners. Jill was serving hot dogs and registering voters at 3 am. She was sitting talking to an ex-felon explaining his right to vote, helping him fill out a voter registration form, and giving him suggestions for job opportunities. It was beautiful. I knew that she was strong, but I see that she has a true heart for the people who other politicians would discard and have discarded. This woman is special. Martin O'Malley is incapable of understanding a person that has the character and love for people that Jill Carter has. It's his loss, not hers. However, all of the so-called liberals and progressives that put him office should take note of his raw ignorance and unwarranted disrespect for this great lady.

If it were not for O'Malley, HBO would not have selected Baltimore City for the series "The Wire". Voting for Dixon is like voting for Bush41 after eight years of Reagan. Voting for Mitchell is like the opening the door of the hen house and letting the fox in.
O'Malley must be threatened by Carter to make such statements. Carter was the top vote getter for all House of Delegates. What is O'Malley afraid of? Could it be that Jill Carter has enough votes in her Legislative District to beat out all the candidates for Mayor? O'Malley ought to be ashamed of himself! Carter is a member of the party that O'Malley represents in this state. At least he could be respectful of her; but no, he thinks Dixon is a shoo in... Well, he'll have to spend an awful lot of money, make an awful lot of promises, and sellout the rest of Baltimore City to ensure Dixon's reelection bid.
The people that you least expect to vote, will come out to vote for Jill P. Carter. Baltimoreans are tired of the status quo and corruption.
I want change for Baltimore City. Carter is the smartest and safest way to vote on September 11, 2007.

Bro Haki,

I don't know what Pat Jessamy stands for but in the context i'm talking about, a white man cussed her in public and no black men in politics/public defended her. That alone put me in her corner. Also there was a vicious game being played in the O'Malley years regarding Central Booking and arrests of mainly black people. Since Jessamy did not kiss the ring of O'Malley, the game went like this: O'Malley said ok Pat, you don't want to kiss the ring so I'm going to flood Central Booking with as many people as I can until you come around. Arrests were astronomical and a lot of charges dropped if filed at all. That just clogged up her office with a lot of bullcrap that prevents her from going after bigger fish. A lot of people being caught up in this were black. And O'Malley tried to make it seem like she wasn't doing her job because he pointed to all the "arrests" the police department was making. Half of the cases were thrown out due to lack of evidence which was true and a lot of people were never charged with anything. He tried to make her look incompetent but trust brother, I know what I speak.
The only thing I know about Jill P. Cater is that she is associated with Dr. Tyrone Powers so I know she loves black people. That's says enough for me. That's probably why O'Malley is against her. Imagine that, O'Malley being against someone who loves black people. He probably is the last of the carpetbaggers. From Montgomery County, came and looted Baltimore City, moved on to Annapolis and probably with Hillary's help, move on to Washington. I hope Black Baltimore will at least think next time before they vote but then again I'll probably hit the Mega Millions before that happens.

Common Sense, I've asked Candidates this before. I don't or didn't want to sound disrespectful to some of them. Some of them its not in there conversation to say the words black millionaires. Well, I'm working smartly to become one. I'm not just working a job waiting for someone to lay me off.

Now Pat Jessamy, Well I'd appreciated if she went after the real culprits i.e. the real drug kingpins. There was a part in the movie called "The Untouchables" where one of the police said that "Everyone knows where the booze i..e illegal alcohol was located the problem is no one wants to address it. Now who is going to have the courage to go where the real drug kingpins and the real shipments are coming from. Some of these folk have so much power. What did they say on I believe it was the God Father, keep the drugs in the Black Community. Perhaps we may want to look at those Ports Pat Jessamy. There was a document passed around some years ago, It was a Grand Jury report on Drug Dealing. Grass roots Groups like Children's First and Black Think Tank had copies of this report. This report showed that the former Prosecutor Stu Simms did not prosecute high level drug dealers, though that the police and prosecutors targeted low level dealers. I say Jill Carter should run against Pat Jessamy. She knows what Jessamy stands for, I know some folk are Sorrors though we have to stand on some principle/indepdence. We need to really expose Jessamy, she tends to get a free pass in all of this. I did feel sorry that the Teflon Leprachon O'malley made those statements about her.

I think that Black politicians should be realistic about there chances of winning. Jill Carter has been dissed unnecessarily by many people and token elections are not that deep to be falling out about. This was my point, I didn't want to fall out with anyone about "You not supporting this person or that person". How about supporting yourself and buying some of these houses, start some businesses and empower your community by being informed, resourceful, networked, organized, connected, researched and get out of debt yourself.

The only politicians in Baltimore I respect are Jill Carter and Pat Jessamy. They are the only two women(do men live here?) who have stood up to O'Malley. I didn't even know Keifer Mitchell could talk until O'Malley left office. But let me say this. What has/is happening in our city is our own fault partially. We as a whole are the dumbest blacks in the nation when it comes to politics. No accountability whatsoever. O'Malley saw the opportunity to lead a lost flock of sheep while creating wealth for his boys. In case you didn't know, that is a mayor's job also to create millionaires. That's why Marion Barry is so beloved in D.C. Also the citizens over there are more politically savvy. They saw right through that crack sting and put him back in office. Barry created dozens of black millionaires, city workers in D.C. make more than state workers here in Maryland because of Barry. See it works like this, you vote in people who mean you some good. Not people who promise to lower the crime rate and murders. Before I forget(where are my manners?) O'Malley did give blacks here in Baltimore something. Some black trash cans with the word "Deceive" no, no I mean "Believe". People you get what you pay for.

Good point, Bro. Haki about the importance of utilizing wealth in tandum with political aims. Whether we like it or not, this country's political system is based on the dollar. The golden rule of politics: he who has the gold makes the rules. We must support independent voices (as you call them) who dare to challenge the political status quo. Otherwise they will be successfully marginalized or worse - co-opted into the ruling party.

Bro. Ray I agree. Maryland's democratic machine is nothing more than the "good ol' boy" network masked by a thin veil of progressive thinking. I wrote a piece about Maryland's democratic party last year which was inspired by Sen. Nathaniel Exum's disgust with the MD Democratic party.

Thanks Nicole for stopping by. Your comments are always appreciated.
