A stroll down O’Malley Lane
A whole lot of people’s gas and electric got cut off yesterday. A mother with a newborn. A senior couple on fixed income. A middle class family trying to make ends meet.Â
Del. Jill P. Carter called for a special session to address the rate increases, but Maryland’s Governor, Martin O’Malley wasn’t having it. That’s odd. He seemed all to ready to address the rate increases when he was campaigning to become the Governor.Â
Anybody remember this campaign ad?

Yes I remember that ad! Its called a political pinata! The politicians from all parties use them! Its when they hold up issues, raise em up real high so everybody sees them. They get us all crazy during election time. We start swinging at these issues with our sticks. They get us going jumping, swinging, getting all pumped up, bent outta shape and then once elected………………………………………….flatline…. sorry folks the party is over…..

Peace family! One thing that I noticed about NO’Malley’s campaign ad was the strengthening of the middle class families. In my opinion, targeting the middle class families really isn’t targeting the issue. I think that is targeting the voters. Look at it this way, the majority of the upper class families spend most of their time trying to maintain there financial stature. In families where the occupations of mom and dad are lawyers, accountants and doctors, the jobs are really time consuming. Most of these people aren’t really affected by the decisions made by elected politicians. Speaking from a common sense point of view, the majority of the “dirt poor” or lower class citizens aren’t registered to vote. The sad truth is if you go into a lower class community and pick a person a random, they probably couldn’t tell you the city council member whose representing there district let alone which district there in. Whereas the middle class citizens have more time to get involved. Middle class families are usually the most patriotic and seem to rally behind canidates. When you take a look at all of the issues that plague our city, where do they take place? They take place where the lower class families live!! I think NO’Malley was brillant for targeting the middle class families to strengthen because there already strong!! That way he can do the same thing for Maryland that he did for Baltimore, nothing!!!

What kind of a sorry excuse for a governor would lie like a rug and then brag about the fact that he doesn’t support anything the Jill Carter does when she is one of very few trying to help the people fight against BGE corporate theft? And trying to help people keep their lights on? O’Malley, is there anything people won’t let him get away with at their expense?
