A Jena 6 followup organizing meeting for the Baltimore area will take place this Thursday, September 27, 2007 6PM at Empowerment Temple’s Family Life Center. (1505 Eutaw Place, Baltimore, MD 21217) As we know, the work is not over yet.
Here is the agenda for Thursday’s meeting:
Agenda
1. Assessment of the two (2) events that were co-sponsored by the
coalition called by Sen. Dr. Larry Young.
2. Approval for the creation of a Directory of Village organizations
working for and on behalf of our people.
3. Discussion to organize an event where citizens, especially youth
and young adults, can ascertain information relative to these
organization and to join the organization best suited to their interest.
4. Continued expressings of outrage of the injustice being perpetrated
on JENA 6 by wearing black every Thursday until justice is acquired.
5. Quarterly meeting to assess state of Baltimore and work of elected
officials.
Note: No new organization will be formed.
Final agenda will be agreed upon and disseminated early in the week.
