Democratic Presidential Candidates Edwards, Obama, & Kucinich are asked if they support reparations for Blacks in the U.S. Guess which one said “yes”

That’s an easy one.

John Edwards is more hawkish on issues that attempt to address the long-term disparities that have persisted over the centuries, where blacks were reduced to servitude and systematic discrimination in the Americas by their racial counterparts.

Someone said it best a few months ago, Obama, doesn’t carry the ‘civil rights’ baggage. The question is, why not?

With regard to Obama, the color of his skin does not automatically mean that he would pursue social justice issues for ALL PEOPLE! A true leader should do just that - we had this discussion in ‘the Amen Group’ at Stanford some years ago. Some members of the group wanted a champion who would fight for black social justice issues, I wanted someone who would fight for what was right in the sight of God for all people!

I am reminded of the scripture that reads: Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.

Warren Buffet was right when he said that the heart of the individual matters more than a candidate’s ability to use political ease in order to garner votes. Edwards made it clear a long time ago, that he would risk his political capital, in order to do the right thing.

I believe that he will keep that commitment if he were ever elected President! Dennis Kucinich and Hillary Clinton can also be counted on to fight for social justice for All People!
