On the phone with Adobe now…
Back in October 2007 I bought an Adobe Bundle of Photoshop Elements 6.0 and Premiere Elements 4.0 for $119.99. For those unfamiliar, Photoshop is for picture editing and Premiere is for video editing. Upon purchasing this product I immediately had problems downloading it from the internet and then I had problems launching it on my computer.
I called back in early November seeking assistance and I was bounced around to like 3 people before someone eventually told me that basically my computer was too old and that I needed to upgrade in order to download and use my software.
As you know, I recently converted to Mac so problem solved right? Wrong!
The Adobe Bundle is a Windows Version and they don’t have a Mac version for me to swap with. The guy is telling me right now as well that I can’t get a refund on my money because it’s been longer than 30 days. I really don’t like companies that don’t stand by their products.
I read the fine print in October. It said nothing about the IEEE whicha-macallit that your PC needs in order to download the product. I got jipped.
That’s alright Adobe - fool me once shame on you….you won’t get a chance to fool me again. I am no longer doing any business with Adobe. Hope you enjoyed my $119.99 “donation.” You’ll never see another dime!
(Sorry folks - this doesn’t qualify as “Faith” or “Action”, but I needed to get it out.)

Now that’s funny. I see on the web site they have a “system requirements” link. I heard a man Jerome Ross say you got to do the reps. Translated you got to do your home work. I doidn’t see a “whicha-macallit” mentioned either.
LOL
P.S. Sell that bad boy on Ebay or take out an ad on Faith in Action Online — see above –

Heber,
I use all of Adobe products and I have NEVER had a problem with downloading/returning them (but who knows why). Since I work with technology full time my software has to work. Let’s talk, I may be able to help you getting your Mac up to speed. I use Final Cut Pro for my video editing, but iMovie works well. Adobe is a good company, but like all big companies sometimes they employee associates may not have a clue about good customer service.
By the way, congrats on the Mac….I am not going back bro! I will take out an ad, tell me what I need to do.

Hey Chip -
MAC is the best. I should’ve jumped the PC ship long ago. I do use imovie and to be honest that’s fine for what I’m doing. (just youtubing) I would like however, to upgrade my photo editing software. I need to be able to tag my photos before uploading…really that’s the only feature I need. iphoto has the other basic features that I use.
And you’re right - the employee associates didn’t have a clue.
As far as the ad goes just get me a banner….preferably somewhere in the 125 x 125 pixels range and I’ll put it up. (if you have a different size I’ll work with that too) I’m sure you already have something. Hit my PayPal button up on my “Advertise on Faith In Action” page and I’ll have your ad up in no time.
I’m glad that you and Jamye Wooten were able to hook up.

Y’know, I was rooting through your archives and stumbled upon this… What did you end up doing?
I recently made the Mac switch too, and had recently purchased Adobe’s CS3 Suite (I do a lot of graphic design). They said all I had to do was give them the serial number and I could download a Mac version of the programs, no extra charge.

Wow. I need to look into this. I’m basically sitting on the bundle package now and haven’t done anything.
They advised me to either try to wait for a MAC version of the bundle or sell it on ebay or something.
I’ll check back and see if they have the MAC version yet. Thanks for the “reminder” by way of your comment.
