Interview with Sen. Muse about Gay Marriage in Maryland online
Hey folks. Look at the ipod at the left of the homepage and you can listen to the interview that we conducted this past Monday with Sen. C. Anthony Muse on Faith in Action. Sen. Muse is in a unique position in relation to the gay marriage debate. Muse is a State Senator and also a Pastor. Listen as he explains his position on whether or not same-sex couples should be granted the right to marry in Maryland.

“Muse is in a unique position in relation to the gay marriage debate. Muse is a State Senator and also a Pastor.”
I fail to see how this is relevant … What does being a pastor have to do with state government? How does a religious sensibility have any place AT ALL in political policy discussions? And regardless, how is this “unique” in any non-trivial sense of the word?
Marriage is a basic civil right that should be attainable by all Americans. For the truth about gay marriage check out our trailer. Produced to educate & defuse the controversy it has a way of opening closed minds & provides some sanity on the issue: http://www.OUTTAKEonline.com
Stephen –
Faith in Action on Spirit 1400AM is a religious public affairs program that has as its primary target the African American religious community. Sen. Muse’s position as Pastor and Senator is relevant to my audience because of the unique position that Muse is in. He is called to serve as Pastor. He was elected to serve as Senator. Our interview with him centered on how he navigates the issue of gay marriage in a way that doesn’t compromise his understanding of his Faith and at the same time doesn’t compromise his desire to see justice done for all of his constituents.
He that warreth, does not entagle himself in the affairs of this life. God has a healing plan in place already, Reverend Muse needs to push that plan!
I anonymously visited Senator Muse’s church on two occasions. What sticks out in my mind is the day of my first visit. A young man was sitting in the rear of the church apparently chewing gum.
Pastor Muse ordered the young man to remove the gum from his mouth, or he would personally come back there and personally remove the gum from his mouth.
Pastor Muse’s tone and attitutde that day told me a lot about Pastor and soon to be Senator Muse. I onoy trust that he will display less opprobrium when executing his political duties, than he did with this youngster.
Hmm!!!
This is Senator Muse and for the record The young man I spoke to when the writer so called secretly visited my church was my God son and no I did not say I was coming to take it out of His mouth…However if I did His parents were there and since they said nothing maybe it was ok…I remember teachers in school saying the same to me . Sorry I see these children as children and not peers.. Sometimes a little discipline is ok..Bet your parens did that too
When it comes to Gay marriages it is not right, and also not natural. When God created us we were ment to love the oposite sex. When Gay couple have children it gives the child a mix message that this is normal.Gay marriages could get in our schools.Teaching about the subject.
It has already gotten in our church confusing the pastor that this is normal. When it comes to god nothing should change.Marriage is suppose to be one man and one woman.
Children who live with Gay couple,or a mother or a father can make the child a killer, and a stalker etc.
Another thing about chilren that have gay couples it could leave ,or be taughting becuase their parents is gay,and the child might not be excepted because of their parents race.
Ban Gay marriage and keep our children safe!!!!
