Bynum & Weeks Back Together?
According to this article they’re working on it, but Bynum’s people were quick to shoot down that allegation.
“As Dr Bynum has stated in the past, she feels that reconciliation with her estranged husband could be a tremendous testimony to the body of Christ; however that is not the case at this time.” (SOURCE)
So it’s easy to see how some might think that things are on the up and up though. I received the eyebrow raising flyer below in my inbox late last week. This week Juanita Bynum will be participating in a prayer conference with the aunt of her estranged husband. Bynum’s publicist explains:
“After severing all ties with the Weeks Family, Juanita Bynum Ministries received a request from Bishop Week’s uncle, Bishop Leo Smith to speak at his conference in Barbados this June. She also received an invitation from his grandfather and aunt, Bishop Thomas J. Weeks, and Dr. Gwendolyn Weeks to speak at their 2-Day Prayer Revival in Boston. Dr Bynum has always honored her ministry and has great love and respect for the Weeks family, and after much prayer she accepted both invitations.”

I know she said she prayed about it and all, but what’s wrong with staying out of the public eye for a minute to let things settle in your personal life? What’s wrong with slowing down the Juanita Bynum Enterprise Machine for a season? Can’t the radio show, play, movie debut, online magazine, makeup line, soy candle collection (I’m not making this up), music CD’s, books, and conferences be put on hold for a while so that you can….I don’t know….I really don’t. Something just doesn’t feel right about all of this going on so close to all the drama that’s been going on in their family. Or maybe it’s just me. I’ve never really been drawn to Bynum and have viewed her ministry with a suspicious eye to be quite honest. I worry that the love of money, prestige, and social status may be threatening to overshadow her call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ simple, full, and FREE. And what’s up with Thomas Weeks’ family calling Bynum in to participate in these conferences? His uncle, grandfather, and aunt have called Bynum in on ministry events since their big falling out. Have members of the Weeks family pinned Bynum as the cashcow they need to rake in the dollars?

These conferences are nothing but money making machines for the fellowship or persons that host them. These planning committees know that in order to get the most bang for their buck so they won’t have to have the Presiding Elder, Bishop, Archbishop up at the podium begging for money to break even on the last night of the conference they have to book the BIG NAME PULPIT STARS!! The year after Hurricance Katrina, the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship booked TD Jakes and Jamal “I’m still the man” Bryant as their ONLY CONFERENCE SPEAKERS. Why???? Because these two bring in the money. The Bynums see dollar signs. Plain and simple.

Bishop Hilliard, Princeton Theological School Seminarian and pastor, gave a great talk on a television show earlier in the week; he touched on the Bynum issue.
Of course it would be a good thing for the rest of us if these two would window-dress and get back together. However, if it’s not real and the problem is not solved, they ought to stay apart, and simply be submitted to the will and the direction of God, in my opinion.
The Bynum’s problem has been publicized, however, if truth be known their problem is a reflection of a larger and more extensive phenomenon that is taking place in clerical and other Christian marriages.
The divorce race in some denominations, exceeds that of non-believers.
A Bishop reported once that when he went to visit a pastor and his wife at home, instead of opening the door, they rolled out of the door into the yard. They were fighting! Another pastor’s wife stabbed her husband. And we all know about the church of Christ widow, who shot the Reverend in the back. Eek!!
And as Pastor Turner indicated, the impact of America Capitalist Church syndrome, and its impact on their relationship should not be overlooked!

What is between Prophetess Bynum and Bishop Weeks is between them and God alone. Prophetess Bynum is a true vessel
God. Therefore, Be careful what you speak; the word of God says, “Touch not my anointed and do my PROPHET no harm.”
How do I know that she belongs to God? Between late 2002 and early 2003 prior to her pulling out of fulltime television
ministry, God spoke to me, drew me, brought my total deliverance, and into a prfound relationship with Him using the chosen
that we all call Prophetess Bynum. Yes, she is human. However, you must look beyond flesh and blood and see truth . . . you
must see spirit which reveals the true manner of the man (individual). For God is spirit and they that worship Him must worship
Him in spirit and in truth. Many esteem the creature higher than the creator, and God said that He will not share His glory with
another. All that has been lines up with God showing mankind that although we are vessel meet for the master’s use, He is still
God and we must acknowledge Him and give HIM praise. Yes, esteem your brothers and your sisters higher than yourselves,
but esteem NONE higher than the Father for He is God Almighty.

I have to totally agree with you. However, I would be remissed if I don’t add suspicion to a lot of pastors in this city who desire to live at levels that most don’t at the cost of the gospel and the people of God. In that light, I would unfortunately keep my eye on the Mt. Olive situation as well. I may be out of line but why would it be fair to single out one and ignore the possibility in another? My opinion.

Can you call a spade a spade anymore?? What ever happened to good ol’ mother wit and truth telling?? It is laughable that some of these “anointed/misguided(take your pick)” crawl up on some of these blogs, web-sites and continue to “spread the gospel” of greed, theft and whatever else you want to call it. If you, want to give all your worldly possesions to Deaconess, Prophetess, Voodoo Queen or whatever title you want to bestow on your Most High, then by all means do it. My beef with people like that is that they always, without fail try to show the rest of us who are not blind, to join them in their walk down the path of mumbo-jumbo. Never a clear answer or retort, but always some kind of vague babble that only they can understand but sounds religious. I have a new found respect for Rev. Ike, Daddy Grace and Father Divine. It seems in this day and age that these men were truly visionaries in the pursuit of the loot and their minions are following their well-crafted blueprint.
