How to vote a pastor out of the church in Washington, DC
People find my blog in some of the strangest ways. I received a visitor today after he/she searched google for an answer to the question above. (How do you vote a pastor out of a church in DC anyway?)
How do I know that this visitor found me with that phrase? I just checked my stats and looked at my keyword analysis. This was something that I kept private for a long time, but I’ve now opened it up to you as well.
If you would like to check out the stats on this blog, just click, “Look Under the Hood” near the top right corner. There you will be able to see how many people visited my blog within the last 7 days (past 7 days is the default, but you can query using different parameters i.e. last month, last week, etc.), how many pageloads this blog received and how many returning visitors I had. You’ll also be able to do cool stuff get info on my international visitors, see how long people stay on this site (on average) and see what keywords people punched in to get to this blog. (The keyword phrases are most interesting to me.)
Monitoring your stats on a regular basis is important in evaluating the health of your site. I like to know what interests my readers. Why they come. How long they stay. What search engine got them to me, etc. As I receive this information, I can tailor my site to the interests of internet surfers in a way that aligns with the framework of this blog.
Here is a bar graph of some of my latest stats:

Hopefully, this information will be of interest to the casual visitor and even to the business professionals who are looking to advertise their products and/or services on my blog. Speaking of advertising….PLEASE SUPPORT MY SPONSORS!

You need to check out Google Analytics. It does a lot more than the default hosting plan’s web stats.
It’s free, too.
