God is GOOD. In 2010, your focus and the world focus should be on God. The Person of Jesus, the Love of the Father and the Presence of His Spirit; then let's renew, restore and rebuild good relatonships as well as leave bad and wicked and unhelping relationship. Intensify prayer and pursue our dreams. 2010 is a year of Responsibility. I love you all. Stay blessed.

I live in the UK and have been aware of the tremendous publicity surrounding Juanita Bynum and Bishop Weeks' marital woes. As a Christian, one is always saddened when a marriage breaks down and ultimately ends in divorce. However, having been a victim of domestic abuse within a Christian marriage, I struggle to understand why Juanita Bynum, excluding the public incident at the hotel, saw the need to make public, details of a what is a private matter. Further, why has she not taken proper time out to reflect and be healed. How can she really have the right perspective if she has not given herself quality time away from the public arena. The repercussions and effects upon an individual of domestic abuse are many and it takes time to deal with these both therapeutically and spiritually. The last thing you want to do is be open to public scrutiny, celebrity or not. Can it be that all these activities are merely a deflection from dealing with the real issue. Is this an exercise of damage limitation of the financial kind. Is Juanita Bynum being paid for all the TV, Conference, Preaching, etc appearances. If she is, then I find it distasteful and borderline offensive to the women, who have suffered in some shape or form from domestic abuse. However, a redeeming factor would be to know that a good percentage of the money earned in advocating for all women who have suffered domestic abuse is donated to women's refuge centres and support groups, etc. I have tried to see some ray of hope that would cause me to believe that her concern was genuine and not tinged with financial gain but I cannot. I am of the opinion that this very vocal and high profile publicity of advocacy is simply a money spinning exercise purely for the benefit of self. If that is not the case, then I stand corrected!

WOW!!
What can I say except wow! God help us as only He can... The bible tells us to watch how we judge people especially when we are doing the same things as the people we judge. But, then it also says in Corithians the spiritual man/woman judges all things yet he/she is not judged.. What this means is, if each of us including Bynum and Weeks take a moment to judge themselves/ourselves righteously the blog which we are engaing in would be different. The bible also says in the last days many false teachers, prophets, clergys, pastor, singers, psalmist, etc... will be in this day. My advice to each believer is to not follow man/woman blindly. Allow your relationship to grow tremendously in God so when the false come you will know them by their fruit. God told us to be wise and to be vigilant for our advesary the devil, walketh about seeking whom he may devour. Saints, yes, lets pray for Juanita and Weeks; however, I urge each of us to make sure our discernment is sharp for the final days which we live in. And that we be in tune with the leading of the Holy Spirit. We need to be walking very closely with the Lord so, we will know who is real- from the Lord and who is not. We can't only depend on preachers, teachers, pastors, evangelist and others to feed us... We need to make sure we know the word of God so when they try to preach something that isn't in the word we will know it. And when their responses, actions, behavior don't line up with God's word we will know that too. God never commissioned us to follow people blindly. And yes, Clergys are held to a much higher standard than others. And when the fall they should sit down and take a sabbatical so, healing can take place. How long? I don't know for it is based on God, their mentor and the how deep the wound is. The bible also says don't promote a clergy who is a novice lest they fall; bring shame to the body. People can be preaching for years and even have God's anointing on their life to minister to others, however, they can still be anovice- immature. God uses whoever He wishes and He will even use a novice if they have the platform Paul says this... less once I preach to you and be a cast away myself... So, you see, God will still use you/me to minister to the masses, to others and still cast us into the abiss.. Having a platfrom to preach/teach doesn't mean we are in right standing with God. These are various gifts from God and they are given without repentance. Yes, I will be praying for Weeks and Bynum but my eyes are on God and Him alone. God bless!!
Shalom..

I think she should seek the lord for answers. I always felt that she had a strong anointing on her from the moment I heard one of her sermons. I'm not saying her anointing is gone I just think that she has gotten too far away from what God has truly called her to do. She is human like all of us and will make mistakes. Most people would have never even heard about her had it not been for all the drama. I don't pass judgment I only hope and pray God will reveal to her his purpose for her life as I still feel that she has a strong anointing on her and this may be just a distraction from the devil to hinder her progress in kingdom business

Well....i sympathize with her situation but i think she's tripping. I understand her plight to become the "Voice of battered women" and stuff but she is treading a very fine line. I have seen to many prominent ministers get caught up in the glitz and glam and forget their real calling...of course they try to covering with things like "this message is for the world...God has sent me to the Kingdoms"....but when you start changing your name from Pastor to "Life Coach" and stuff...its time to check yourself....she's on her way to being caught out there.....and the bible says that in the last days anything and anyone that can be sifted will be ...meaning anyone who is not strongly rooted in the word of God will find themselves caught in Vain doctrine etc....watch and see what happens...only time will tell...but watch closely

@ Mulloverthis,

P.S.

You are right about one thing. Those crooked clergy are dilligent 24/7 in asking for your funds. They are tiredless in the quest of the almighty.....dollar. But then again, you already know that.

@ Mulloverthis,

We see the type of behavior in our communities that you so eloquently stated is because people LIKE YOU give blasphemers, false prophets a free pass to do anything in the name of the Lord. Marion Barry wasn't called to preach. And yes he smoked crack, but he helped a lot of people. Way more than the voodoo priestest that you obviously have sent money to. Wait for your blessing in the mail. When I posted a response to your initial post it was May. Now it is almost September. But then again I guess rehab takes 90-120 days. Hope you are well. Turn to your neighbor and say irrelavant. Comical you are.
