I just received notification that Dr. C.A.W. Clark, one of the greatest preachers in this country, died Sunday, July 27, 2008.
I first was made aware of Dr. Clark through a CD sermon bundle offered by the African American Pulpit Journal. I bought what I consider to be one of the greatest sermons ever preached – “The Worms Got Him.” If you have never heard this sermon by Dr. Caesar A.W. Clark, you would do well to add this to your collection.
The man is a brilliant mind and with his deliberately slow introduction and distinct rhythm he’ll draw you to the core of the text inviting you to see it again with new eyes.
Here’s to one of the greatest pulpiteers of his generation, Dr. Caesar A.W. Clark. May your legacy continue to inspire preachers to be faithful to the text and the sacred art of Black preaching.

He preached a sermon 20 years ago in chicago “go another way” based on the three wise men that i will never forgot. it was about how difficult it is for us to change or accept young people even if God is telling you. you are right. he was a great preacher
His parting reminds one of the bringy tears that were shed at the time of the Apostle Paul’s departure from Ephesus, there the Christians wept on the seashore knowing that they wouldn’t see him again, or would they?
Like the Apostle Paul, Dr. Clark fought a good fight, kept the faith, finished his course, and has entered into the next step in the divine evolutionary life cyle, transcension – we will remember him up and until we see him again!
And did not our hearts burn while he was with us?
Dr. Clark will sorely be missed, what a great blessing he was to the body of Christ he was. His faithfulness of 58 years of serving at the Good Street Church in Dallas Tx…. one word WOW! My Condolences are extended!

TODAY JANUARY 30,2010 I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THE DEATH OF DR CLARK. AT THE AGE OF 18 AT THE MT ZION BAPTIST CHURCH IN SEATTLE A MAN STOOD UP TO PREACH. WHEN HE STARTED OUT WITH THAT "SLOW DELIVERY" I THOUGHT ,WHO IS THIS GUY. AFTER HE WAS DONE I WAS STANDING ALONG WITH EVERYBODY THINKING THAT WAS THE GREASTEST SERMON I HAD EVER HEARD. HOW GOOD? 32 YEARS AGO IT CHANGED MY LIFE. ANYONE WHO KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET HIS RECORDINGS PLEASE CONTACT ME AT HLYDELL19@YAHOO.COM. GOD BLESS

Hi,
Today 12/13/11 would have been Dr. Clark’s 97th birthday. I was just reminiscing and ran upon this link. While in the midst of reading the posted comments, I read yours. Although you wrote this almost a year ago I want to try and contact you just in case Rev. Walter Lundy did not connect with you; he has ordered from the ministry also. Try http://www.drcawclark.com and you can also email me: theclarkministries@yahoo.com It is a blessing just reading the comments about Dr. Clark.
sent this to MyLinkVault (not sure what it is? let me explain A free online bookmark manager. Other bookmark managers can be so clumsy to use ? trying to rearrange your bookmarks can be slow and frustrating.
Dr. Ceasar A.W. Clark….; Absolutely wonder
CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHERE I CAN GET COPIES OF SOME OF DR CLARKS SERMONS…..PLEASE!!
One of God’s most powerful preachers, he’d always start off by saying “Excuse me but I’m old and I’m slow” but in about 15 minutes the entire church is in spiritual panamonium as a result of his dynamic preaching. I was blessed enough to purchase an out of print book on the life of C. A. W. Clark which included a few of his best sermons like “Under the Fig Tree” powerful!
What a treat, Rev. Miller! Can you provide the title of the out-of-print book?
