Faith in Action is a finalist in the Black Weblog Awards 2008!
Hey family. It’s been verified. We are finalist in the Black Weblog Awards 2008 process. There are some really amazing blogs in the runnings to receive an award and of course, I’m extremely honored that we are listed among them. My greatest reward, however, comes from knowing that every day hundreds of people visit this blog and read the words of some guy from Baltimore. Thanks for making this the type of community that I initially envisioned and let’s continue to agree, disagree, speak truth, opinions, and perspectives in this virtual sanctuary (safe place).
If you have not already, please consider voting for Faith in Action as the best Faith-based blog in the year of our Lord 2008. (I gotta use real holy phrases now while the judges are checking out the site. LOL)
The final round of voting ends August 31 and the winners will be announced Sept. 4.
I know this may be a bit odd to do especially when you’re sorta in a competition to win an award, but I wanted you to see the other Faith-based blog finalists that Faith in Action is up against….some very interesting sites by the way:

I’m glad! I did some lobbying telling folks to cast a vote for this blog! Brother Brown Faith In Action is one of the top blogs in the country! I’m honored to be able to post my thoughts on this site. Plus I like the way you keep it clean and respectful. To me this is a model site that others can use as an example of the good work that is being done and needs to be done. God Bless Pastor Heber Brown III.

Clearly Reverend Brown was chosen for this hour! Wherever God leads him, the blog and his ministry, I will help to build and expose it and him on the west coast!

I have not forgot about, for a moment, what we discussed earlier either. As this blog expands and reaches a much broader audience given its well-deserved appeal and as a consequence of its growing exposure, the message regarding what is happening within the American Capitalist Church versus the American Christian Church will reach more of God

Clearly, the ACC is trending more and more towards a secular-capitalist-political/pseudo-religious model, and that is not what God intended.
And as we discussed before, the laypeople are not truly informed with respect to backroom politics and shennaigans taking place in ACC. The disposable wealth that is being accumulated must if anything inure to the benefit of the lambs, and not the czar shepherds! Power corrupts, and absolute power, even within the ACC, corrupts absolutely! Robes Pierre, and you can you say Bolshevik Revolution!
It will be interesting to see how God plans to use Reverend Brown in the future, given his message, and his mass-media appeal. In other words, not only should the blog expand, his radio ministry should be expanded nationally so that the message of rebuilding and authentic freedom can reach the people!
