On this day in 1969, the headquarters of the Chicago Black Panther Party was targeted in a pre-dawn raid by the Chicago Police Department in partnership with J. Edgar Hoover’s Federal Bureau of Investigation. The “law” enforcement officers emptied their guns on every brown body in the building and when the smoke cleared they had assassinated Chicago Party Leader, Fred Hampton and MarK Clark.

Many, many thanks for this link. Stuff like this can change a mind set. A great Black man that too few know about or are willing to really learn about. An excellent starting point for anyone wanting to know what has been sacrificed under way, way more dire circumstances.
There is an excellent book entitled “The FBI War on Tupac Shakur and Other Black Leaders” by John Potash that deals with the U. S. Intelligence Agencies’ complicity in the murder of these brothers, as well as, other Black leaders. This book is a page turner and an eye opener to the covert (and sometimes overt) gangsterism of the U.S. Government!
Additionally, everything that you thought you knew about brother Tupac will be proven wrong after reading this book man. I have to admit, I thought the brother was a hypocrite and didn’t deserve the admiration that Nikki Giovanni often bestows his. How wrong I was! Hotep!
Awesome Reverend Brown. It took years for the FBI to decide to infiltrate the KLAN, a racist hate group. On the other hand, the government wasted no time in attacking a black group that was fighting for the social uplift of a certain class of American people. Had Jesus Christ visitied America in the 60′s, I am sure that he would have been closer The Panters, Dr. MLK, CORE, SNCC, Toure…! Get my drift! Of course, Raegan the FBI, Nixon and company would have had Jesus under surveillance. He would not have died on the cross, but perhaps in a similar shootout!
Jesus did visit America in the 60′s. He died on December 4, 1969.
An objective of the FBI COINTELPRO program was to, “prevent the rise of a black messiah.” Hampton’s assassination was set up by COINTELPRO.
Fred Hampton loved the people. He dedicated his life to struggling for the people. He said that he was gonna die High Off the People. He healed the sick through the Free Health Clinics that he helped start. He fed the people through the free breakfast programs. Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. William O’Neal, Fred Hampton’s bodyguard, and FBI informant, drugged fred hampton the night before he was assassinated, and gave the FBI floor plans of Hampton’s apartment. O’Neal betrayed Hampton. The FBI paid O’Neal a bonus of $300.00 for helping setup Hampton.
We gotta wake up.
