How long until we get an official apology for slavery and legislation on reperations? If not now when?
Football! Well, the Superbowl is over and the year 2009 has officially begun. It is bittersweet however! I can still recall the year when God required or moved upon me to fast football. Let’s just say that I was
a football addict for the Juice and the Gentiles!
That was a tough year because the 49ers were in the Superbowl that year and won again. I am proud to say that we won, I mean that I did not give in to the devil and watch the game. And I didn’t tape the game either.
I suppose that it is time to get back down to business. I suspect that the world will never be the same again. The latest economic nuclear explosion, caused by the USA, has seemingly impacted the whole world. It took blacks to build this nation, and apparently the Universe decided that a black man would have to save it!
I suspect that too much of a burden has been placed upon his shoulders. Even if he succeeds, the opposite party will take the credit for his successes. If he is is unable to reverse what the other party and Mr. Bush did to not only the United States, but the world – the blame cannot and should not be placed on the shoulders of our nascent President Obama Hussein. However, that is exactly what the other party is attempting to do as we speak, shift the blame for America’s woes to President Obama!

Several states and a few corporations like Wachovia have already apologized for their participation in slave trafficking and the institution itself. Wachovia was one of many banks that participated in financing the shipment of boatloads of slaves to the Americas. Even the lesislature of the venerable Commonwealth of Virginia, head of the cessationist southern confederacy, offered an apology a year or so ago for the role that it stubbornly played in enslaving human beings.
President Clinton tried to engineer an official apology by the United States government when he was in office. The fear of the powers that be happens to be this, once this nation concedes and apologizes in an official capacity, it will serve as a concession that the nation did something wrong. And once the nation admits that it has done something wrong, then it will make it easier to push the reparations issue.
I SUSPECT THAT IF GEORGE WASHINGTON had been a contemporary with Abrahama Lincoln, that we might have never heard of Robert E. Lee.
Why? George Washington would have either been President of the cessationists south, or head of the Confederate Army or both! And what did the 380 or slaves who served George at Mt. Vernon receive in terms of an inheritance? The answer is nada for the last time I was there, the DAR owned Mt. Vernon.
I suspec that it is not an accident that God recently wiped out the bank accounts of many of the rich moguls who have been holding hostage wealth, particularly inherited wealth, that they derived from their ancestors. And where did this money orginate? Well, from the Slave Capitalization Fund – slaves were the primary product…, and you know who kept all of the wealth! That money never was theres.
John Conyers has done a yeomans job championing the issue of reparations for for several decades now! Just wait until President Obama makes it official where he stands on the reparations issue!
