Howard University Students Protest at the White House

Five days after the murder of Troy Davis I am admittedly still reeling and healing from this latest barrage of barbaric brutality on Black people from the United States “Justice” System. “Troy Davis” is the latest chapter of terrorism in the collective memory of American Africans. Live From Death Row: A Message from Troy Anthony Davis

September 20, 2011
By
Troy was found guilty of murdering a police officer 19 years ago, based upon the testimony of 9 witnesses. Today, 7 of those 9 have recanted their testimony entirely, and there are enormous problems with the testimony of the remaining 2 witness accounts. There is NO OTHER EVIDENCE. The murder weapon was never found. There is no DNA to test. Troy is scheduled to die by lethal injection on September 21, 2011.

Wisdom From The Ancestors: Archbishop Oscar Romero

The Jesus movement included everyone from tax collectors to sex workers; it truly was a movement of diversity. In today’s world, I am encouraged to see a movement of Christians who want to “preach good news to the poor.” But all too often, well-meaning progressive Christians from privileged backgrounds attempt to speak for or...
