When people ask, "what is the biggest mistake made in the Black Panther Party?" I tell them very clearly that what we did wrong was to take God out of the movement. -Afeni Shakur (Former Black Panther and Mother of slain rapper,Tupac Shakur)

OPEN THREAD FRIDAY!

Speak your mind people. Let it out. This is your platform - your chance to say what I ain’t been saying…the stories that I missed…or just something that is really on your mind that you want to share with a boatload of folk. Have at it.

HAPPY OPEN THREAD FRIDAY!

Open Thread Day Today, & Tomorrow, & and the next day

Greetings all,

Well - the primary election in Baltimore City is over and I’ve given much energy to it over these past few weeks.  I need a little break to allow my creative tank to refill.  I’m going to take an early weekend from blogging.  I’ll check back in bright and early next week. (I hope)

So as it is my custom I’m opening the blog up to you.  Post your thoughts, comments, questions about anything going on in the world.

Anybody have plans for “Jena 6 Day” (Sept. 20th)?  [By the way check out the SDP Conference's Briefing and Litany/Prayer.  They're hoping to get churches active on this issue] What in the world is going on with the officer who arrested a woman for making a salty burger?  Did you hear about the Steve Biko shirts popping up in South Africa?!  (really exciting to me given my admiration of Biko)  And how about them Ravens?…well, pray for my Ravens.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the floor is yours.  Let us hear it.

Open Thread Friday

Peace Family.  I have been going at it strong over the past few weeks giving much attention to the political scene in Baltimore.  I know there are other issues in the world of significance happening right now as well - the case of the Jena 6, and the commutation of Kenneth Foster’s death sentence just to name a couple.  But I want to know what has your attention these days.

Speak your mind.  Share your thoughts.  Ask your questions.

Ladies and Gentlemen - the floor is yours.  Comment away!Â
